Jared Jaffee Captures 3rd Gold Ring in WSOP Silver Legacy Online Circuit Kickoff Event

On Friday night, players in Nevada and New Jersey had the opportunity to compete in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Silver Legacy Online Circuit Series, which features 12 gold ring events and over $1.3 million in guarantees from March 19-30.

The series got underway with Event #1: $75,000 GTD NLH BIG $500 Kick-Off, a tournament that attracted 179 players who rebought 114 times. The 293-entry field resulted in a $136,831 prize pool that was paid out to the top 42 finishers.

Among those to cash but fall short of the final table were Krista “Pollux” Gifford (11th – $2,134.56), Tony “Panoramic” Dunst (17th – $1,258.84), Ryan “GoFeltaFish” Eriquezzo (21st – $957.81), reigning Player of the Year YK “LUCKySPEWY1” Kwon (22nd – $957.81), Daniel “DNegs” Negreanu (27th – $957.81), and Landon “ActionDealer” Tice (36th – $793.61).

The final table was stacked with some tough competition including Joe “melonhead” Bartholdi, who recently made headlines after winning a lawsuit brought by former “The Crew” member Dutch Boyd, and Matt “RubberFist” Stout, one of’s most accomplished players.

However, in the end, it was Jared “darrensrabbi” Jaffee coming out on top to claim the title and $27,229.36 top prize. The win came less than two weeks removed from Jaffee’s social media complaint regarding a table redraw hullabaloo at the WPT Venetian.

9 Joe “melonhead” Bartholdi $2,736.62

It marked the third gold ring win of Jaffee’s career and his second in just a month’s time. Back on February 17, he also won the opening event of the Planet Hollywood Circuit to win Event #1: $50,000 GTD NLH Freezeout for $23,804. His first ring came back in 2017 at the WSOP Circuit Bicycle Casino in the $1,675 Main Event, good for a $211,220 payday.

The trio of rings complements Jaffee’s gold bracelet, which he won at the 2014 WSOP by topping a 1,475-entry field in Event #58: $1,500 NLH Mixed Max for $405,428. Jaffee is also a WPT champ after winning the 2013 bestbet Jacksonville Fall Poker Scramble for $252,749.
