On Day 1b of the MSPT Sycuan Casino $360 Regional Event in San Diego, which is happening now, it was Level 5 (300/500/500) when there was approximately 10,000 already in the pot and a flop of {5-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} when Mark Feinberg (lead photo) and Chris Smith butted heads. The former ultimately got his stack of approximately 25,000 in the middle and the latter snapped him off.

Mark Feinberg: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Chris Smith: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Feinberg’s two black cowboys were no good as Smith had flopped top set.

The {2-Diamonds} turn was of no consequence, but the {k-Diamonds} river sure was as Feinberg spiked his two outer to make a bigger set and stay alive.

“I told you I was trying to punt,” said Feinberg, clearly energized by the river card that delivered him new life. Feinberg went on to bag a stack for Day 2.

The turn was the {10-Spades} and Borlan barreled a bet of 680,000 into the pot and was called again.

The river completed the board with the {10-Hearts} and Borlan bet 680,000 for “jancsi69” to raise it up to 4,080,000. Borlan decided to shove with the bigger stack for “jancsi69” to call for the 6,246,243 they had behind with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for the full house but Borlan held the {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for quads and the chip lead.

Borlan went on to finish second in the tournament for $894,551 after a three-way deal.
