Turning Stone Resort Casino Brings World Series of Poker Action To New York State

Turning Stone Resort Casino announced in November that it would become New York State’s first-ever host of satellites for the World Series of Poker and would also play host to a WSOP Circuit stop running March 17-28, 2022. This would make Turning Stone the first and only casino in New York to host official WSOP events.

“We are thrilled to serve as New York’s first-ever satellite host for the World Series of Poker, and provide this incredible opportunity to our guests,” said Oneida Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter. “We are proud of the fact that we are considered New York’s best poker destination, and being a satellite host for the WSOP promises to only build onto that reputation.”

During the months of November and December, Turning Stone hosted 27 $175 buy-in satellites with winners receiving a $1,400 seat in one of the next round of qualifying events, dubbed the WSOP Local Main Events at Turning Stone.

The three Local Main Events will cost $1,400 to enter for those who didn’t satellite in and are to be held on the following Sundays: Jan. 2, Feb. 20, and May 1. Winners of the Local Main Event will receive a $10,000 seat to the WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas in 2022, as well as $3,000 in travel money.

The inaugural WSOP Circuit Turning Stone Resort Casino in late March will give players another avenue to win their way to the 2022 WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas. The tournament series will be held in the Turning Stone Event Center. More details about the schedule of WSOP Circuit gold ring events are expected to be released soon.
