WPT500 Festival begins online this weekend at partypoker

On March 7, the World Poker Tour and partypoker will kick off their WPT500 festival. The series will begin as the MILLIONS Online comes to an end. Through March 23, players will be able to compete in WPT500 events with 25 total on the schedule. Two of these events have a $1 million prize pool.

A Look at The Schedule

To get things started, partypoker is offering up a $530 event with a seven-figure prize pool. This event has nine starting flights and will see Day 2 begin on March 15. On this day, the final flight will take place, and it will be a Turbo format.

Late registration runs through the 12th level, providing plenty of time for online poker players to get in on the action. Players can compete in as many Day 1s as they like, but only the largest chip stack goes through to Day 2 if you progress in the event.

From March 15-22, players can compete in the PKO edition of the WPT500. This event is similar to the traditional format, but of course, it has a Progressive Knockout theme. The blind structure is a bit different in this event, but you are still competing for a $1 million prize pool.

There are satellites running at party now to help players earn a seat in the competition. Fans who can’t take part but want to catch all the tournament action can tune in via partypokerTV. Live streams on YouTube and Twitch will showcase players competing at the felt!

Tailing MILLIONS Online

The WPT500 comes just as the partypoker MILLIONS Online concludes. The series kicked off in mid-February and continued through early March. The schedule of this series included 28 events and plenty of guaranteed prize pools. There were two main events going on, the mini with $1 million in prize money and the main, with $5 million!

Players were able to compete for the main event with centrolls and phased satellites. Each option had a more affordable buy-in than the event and offered a way to work up to a seat in the event. Both of the mains saw a good turnout and once the details of the series are released, it would not be surprising to find most guarantees were crushed!

There was plenty on the schedule for everyone including turbos, knockouts, and other formats. The buy-in range went from low to high which helped all players be able to take part.

These series are just the beginning for partypoker in 2021. We expect even more action will be on the table in the coming months, with options for both low and high rollers on the schedule!
