Your Honor starring Bryan Cranston is renewed for season 2 with the Breaking Bad actor pulling in $750K per episode on the legal thriller series


He previously dominated the airwaves as a high school teacher turned drug kingpin.

And now Bryan Cranston is returning for more of his highly rated Showtime series Your Honor, as the show has been renewed for another season.

As reported by Deadline, the legal thriller series will become an ongoing drama with a 10-episode season picked up by the channel Showtime.

And as seen in Variety’s list of highest-paid TV stars published on Tuesday, Cranston occupies third place with a paycheck of $750,000 per episode of the show.

He trails behind Chris Pratt, who is making a staggering $1.4 million per episode of his new show The Terminal List, and Oscar winner Jeff Bridges, who is making an even $1 million per episode of his new series The Old Man.

In Your Honor, Breaking Bad star Cranston plays Michael Desiato, a judge who becomes involved with an organized crime family after his son is linked to a hit and run accident.

The show also stars Next Stop Wonderland actress Hope Davis, and Call Me By Your Name standout star Michael Stuhlbarg.

Other notable actors in the series include Carmen Ejogo, Transparent star Amy Landecker and acclaimed character actress Margo Martindale.

The renewal for Your Honor was announced during Showtime’s TCA summer virtual press tour. 

Cranston is a repeat Primetime Emmy winner for playing Walter White on Breaking Bad, as well as for producing the show which ran from 2008 until 2013.

Showtime was clearly eager to have him return to Your Honor, based on Israeli show Kvodocreated by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach, as the new series has earned the network its most most watched debut season.   

‘We were blown away by Your Honor … by the power of [creator] Peter [Moffat]’s storytelling, by the depth of Bryan’s performance, and by the overwhelming reaction from our subscribers who watched in record numbers,’ said Gary Levine, president of entertainment, Showtime Networks.

Production on Your Honor’s second season is slated to begin next year, for a 2022 premiere.
