He’s endured a tumultuous few years, including having a restraining order filed against him by his Backstreet Boys star brother Nick.

But Aaron Carter has credited an unusual source of inspiration for getting through those dark times: Thor star Chris Hemsworth.

Even though it’s unlikely they have ever met, the former pop heartthrob thanked the Australian actor for for helping him get through ‘some debacles’ and ‘family stuff’ in an interview with Today Extra on Wednesday.

Talking about the cast of the Avengers films, Aaron declared that ‘these men became my superheroes’.

But ‘first and foremost’ he found inspiration from the 37-year-old Home and Away alum.

‘I wanna look like him, I wanna have his abs, I want his accent,’ the House of Carters star told hosts David Campbell and Belinda Russell.

Carter’s ‘family stuff’ likely refers to his estrangement from pop singer brother Nick and sister Angel in 2019.

On September 17, 2019, Nick and Angel shared a tweet claiming that they filed a restraining order against Aaron.

In the tweet, Nick claimed Aaron admitted to harbouring ‘thoughts and intentions of killing my pregnant wife and unborn child.’

Aaron subsequently refuted the claim.

Aaron also spoke about his upcoming Celebrity Boxing match with Lamar Odom, which takes place later this month.

Claiming that the former NBA star is ‘underestimating’ him, predicting that ‘the bigger they are, the harder they fall.’

Meanwhile, Lamar last month made his own prognostication, vowing he will knock out Carter early on in their upcoming Celebrity Boxing match.

The 41-year-old athlete/reality star, speaking with TMZ, claimed the match will not last longer than a round, as he’s been diligently training for the June 11 match at Atlantic City’s Showboat Casino.

‘It’s not gonna be a fight, it ain’t gonna be a fight,’ he said, adding that he would deliver a KO to the musical artist in ‘the first minute’ of competition.

In the chat with the outlet, Lamar alluded to his faith in more than five years since he fell into a coma following a drug overdose at a Nevada brothel in October of 2015.

‘Well you gotta put God first, your higher power first, before you do anything,’ the 6ft10 NBA alum said.

The Queens, New York native alluded to his late friend Kobe Bryant, and his unrelenting work ethic, in how he moves forward each day.

‘Family, my children,’ said the ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian, the outlet reported. ‘That’s the reason why I’m living. It’s just me sharing my Mamba Mentality moment. That’s the quest of being the best version of myself. In search of that.’

Aaron last month faced off with Lamar- who oddsmakers had heavily favored in the fight – in Philadelphia, for a news conference about the forthcoming fight.

The celeb participants posed in hyping the clash with promoter Damon Feldman, who told the outlet that the match was ‘gonna be a war,’ as both Odom and Carter had been ‘busting their a**es in the gym’ ahead of the face-off.

Aaron, who has been working with trainer Xavier ‘Bad Pads’ Biggs ahead of the event, earlier this year said he and his fiancee Melanie Martin are expecting a baby.
