‘Apparently I didn’t read the fine print and now liquid death officially owns my soul and my blood too. I don’t know it’s very confusing, they’re taking out my blood, and we’re going to use it for skateboard graphics.’

The clip shows a vial of Hawk’s actual blood being poured into a red bucket of paint before being mixed in.

He explained: ‘So they’re going to mix my blood into the paint and do a limited run of skateboards using my real blood in the graphics but some of the profits would go towards killing plastic pollution and do building skateparks in underserved communities.

The skateboard decks feature the company’s ‘It’s The Thirst Executioner’ holding up a hawk skull and a bloody axe.

Liquid Death says each deck will come with a certificate of authenticity.

It is all for a good cause as a percentage of the proceeds will also go to Hawk’s The Skatepark Project as well as environmental nonprofit organization 5 Gyres.

Hawk was 14-years-old when he turned professional in 1982. His specialty is skating in vert ramps – large half-pipes that transition from a horizontal, flat bottom to vertical sides.

He has been widely regarded as one of the top skaters in the world, and has lent his name to a successful video game franchise, which has surpassed $1.4billion in sales before making it’s return with a remaster last year.

In September 2020, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skate 1 + 2 became the fastest-selling game in the franchise by moving one million copies in the first two weeks.
