Swipe right for TV stardom! Channel Nine confirms Love Island Australia is now casting for hot singletons via Tinder ahead of season three

Love Island Australia is returning to our screens for its third season.

And it seems producers are getting extra creative with the casting process, as they’re currently scouting hot singletons via dating app Tinder.

The Channel Nine show’s official Instagram account confirmed the news in a sponsored post on Thursday.

‘Yep, we are straight up asking for the match…Couple up with #LoveIslandAU on @tinderau and if we like what we see, your profile could be fast tracked direct to the Love Island Casting Team,’ the caption reads.

In the video, which includes famous branding from the raunchy series, wannabe contestants are told their casting is ‘fast tracked’ if they match with the profile on Tinder.

Earlier this month, producers for the show reached out to former Neighbours actress Sarah Ellen, who has reinvented herself as an Instagram influencer in recent years.

The 24-year-old posted a direct message she’d received from the official Love Island account to her Stories, but didn’t say whether she would accept the offer or not.

Channel Nine recently confirmed that Love Island Australia would return for a third season.

As reported by TV Tonight, auditions are open for sexy singletons who are looking for love and hoping to win a major cash prize in the process.

The Nine dating show, which made the likes of Tayla Damir and Eden Dally household names, is looking for contestants aged 19 to 32.

‘Do you have the smile, sex appeal and sass it takes to be an Islander? How do you feel about enjoying your very own long hot summer of romance?’ a casting notice reads.

‘Once again, our Islanders will take up residence in a spectacular luxury villa in the hope of finding love.’

With coronavirus restrictions halting overseas travel and TV production, it was feared the reality TV show was going to be axed.

However, Nine bosses said at the network’s Upfronts presentation in September they were hoping to go ahead with a local season based on the Gold Coast.
