Studio 10’s Sarah Harris is stitched up on national TV with hidden-camera prank

Studio 10’s Sarah Harris is stitched up on national TV as her colleagues play a highlight reel of her YAWNING during commercial breaks

Sarah Harris was humiliated by her Studio 10 colleagues on Friday after they aired hidden-camera footage of her yawning ungraciously during commercial breaks.

The 39-year-old had no idea she was being covertly filmed during the ads, and was stunned to see it played back to her.

‘It’s gives me great pleasure to stitch you up on national television and alert you to a secret camera that’s been filming you this week,’ said newsreader Natasha Exelby.

How embarrassing! Sarah Harris was humiliated by her Studio 10 colleagues on Friday after they aired hidden-camera footage of her yawning ungraciously during commercial breaks

Natasha, 33, had been discussing how the lockdown restrictions across many parts of Australia had left people feeling exhausted.

The show then cut to a montage of Sarah yawning during the ad breaks on the Network 10 morning show.

Despite her obvious embarrassment, Sarah was able to laugh off the footage, and joked that it showed off her ‘very big mouth’ and ‘at-risk chin’.

‘It’s the aggression. I’ve never seen someone aggressively yawn,’ commented her bemused co-host Tristan MacManus

Sarah added: ‘It’s been an aggressively yawn kind of week.’

She then accused Natasha and Tristan, 38, of being ‘sociopaths’ because they weren’t prompted to yawn by seeing her yawning.

Studies have shown that yawns are often contagious, and that yawning in response to another person yawning is a sign of empathy.

A scientific survey once found that ‘the more coldhearted a person was (i.e., the less empathetic), the less likely they were to catch a yawn’.

Sarah blamed her exhaustion on her two young children, having recently become a single mum to sons Paul, five, and Harry, three.

She confirmed her split from her husband of seven years, Tom Ward, in March.

‘I don’t know what’s going on with kids at the moment, but they’re up all night. Like, one o’clock, two o’clock, jumping into bed, wanting to play,’ she explained.

She added: ‘I’m a bit shattered from it.’
