Spencer Pratt reveals biggest reality TV payday he ever got

Spencer Pratt reveals the most money he and Heidi Montag ever made from a reality show – and the million dollar offer they turned down

He’s one of the biggest stars to come out of The Hills.

And now Spencer Pratt has opened up about some of the lucrative reality shows he’s done outside of the MTV series.

During an appearance on the Unpopular podcast this week, the 37-year-old revealed that the biggest cheque he ever got outside of The Hills was for Celebrity Big Brother UK.

Expensive: Spencer Pratt has revealed the most money he and Heidi Montag ever made from a reality show outside of MTV’s The Hills

For two-and-a-half week’s work on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, Spencer said that he and wife Heidi Montag took home £850,000 (AUD$1.57million, USD$1.17million).

Heidi and Spencer appeared on the eleventh season of CBB UK, where they placed runner-up to winner Rylan Clarke.

They later returned for CBB All-Stars in 2017 and memorably clashed with Kim Woodburn before getting voted out on day 25.

Despite the big bucks from Big Brother, Spencer revealed that he and Heidi were offered USD$950,000 to return to the jungle on NBC’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2009, at the height of their Hills fame.

The couple famously appeared on the show, but quit after a few episodes following a number of meltdowns and drama with their campmates.

Despite leaving, they were offered close to a million dollars from NBC to return, but Spencer said that he didn’t need the money at the time.

‘We were making so much money at the time, $950,000 was like paparazzi photos,’ he said.

Heidi and Spencer also appeared together on Celebrity Wife Swap in 2014 and Marriage Boot Camp in 2015.

Without Spencer, Heidi appeared solo on VH1’s Famous Food in 2011 and Lifetime’s the Mother/Daughter Experiment: Celebrity Edition in 2016.

The couple are currently starring on MTV’s The Hills: New Beginnings, but have already started working on their own spin-off series.

It’ll follow the reality TV power couple as they run their successful crystal business, Pratt Daddy Crystals, and all the young brand ambassadors and influencers that work for them.

‘I’m the most boring person in my life; Heidi’s the second. She’s more entertaining than me, but the people around us, in real life, want to be stars. They’re all young [and] cool,’ he said.

‘Our employees are all stars. The Pratt Daddy universe is mind-bogglingly entertaining.’

He also said that other outrageous reality stars with their own businesses will feature on the show too, including Bachelor villain Corinne Olympios.

‘On the show, we’re gonna collab with other reality TV people,’ he explained. ‘It’s kind of like a Surreal Life docuseries.
