‘Howell High School and Howell Public Schools are aware of a video circulating that shows an assault on a student that took place shortly after the school day concluded.
‘The incident was reported to the high school team by fellow students. Upon learning of the incident, the high school worked quickly to identify those involved.
‘As a school and a district, we do not tolerate this type of behavior. The school has started the discipline process per the district’s student handbook, and law enforcement is involved.’

Anne Richardson, a mother of a child with autism who runs a disability advocacy group, also commented on the incident.
‘That poor kid. That is all I could think of, was how awful for him to experience this and what trauma was inflicted on him. I have no idea why someone would do this,’ she told Fox 2.

‘They should get charged. I don’t know what the school’s policies are but the the minimum is suspension instantly,’ she told WXYZ.
‘Absolutely they should be prosecuted,’ Bigelow added. ‘The only thing we should be teaching our children is to love each other and be kind to each other and respect each other.’
