Sarah Lancashire is unrecognisable as Julia Child on set of HBO show

Sarah Lancashire transformed into iconic chef and author Julia Child as she got to work on set of new HBO Max show Julia.

The Happy Valley star, 56, looked unrecognisable as she donned a curly brunette wig to embody the late cook for scenes at the Boston Common in Boston, Massachusetts, on Wednesday.

Her role as the chef is expected to be Sarah’s big break in the US as it is the same part that Meryl Streep was nominated for at the Oscars with her 2009 film Julie and Julia.
