Salma Hayek mourned the loss of her sister-in-law, Florence Rogers-Pinault, with a touching tribute shared to Instagram on Monday morning.  

The 55-year-old actress penned a heartfelt note in Spanish, French and English as she shared a photo with Florence, who reportedly died at the age of 58.

‘My friend and my dear sister-in-law, today you are flying into the unknown and I will never be able to embrace you again,’ she shared with her 18million followers.

‘But the sensation of your kindness, your strength, your zest for life, as well as the eternal light of the stars shining in your eyes and most of all the resonance of your laughter will live on in my heart forever.

She used a #family hashtag and finished her tribute with: ‘Rest in peace Florence Rogers Pinault.’

Florence was the sister of Salma’s husband, François-Henri Pinault, and the aunt of her daughter Valentina.

The Frida star announced that she was engaged to Pinault in March 2007 and also confirmed that she was pregnant. Hayek gave birth to their daughter, Valentina Paloma, in September 2007.

The Mexican actress and the Kering CEO — who owns luxury brands Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta — tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Paris on Valentine’s Day in 2009. 

Francois-Henri shares a son, Francois, 23, and a daughter Matilde, 20, with his ex-wife Dorothée Lepère, and a son, Augustin, with ex Linda Evangelista. The Academy Award nominee appears to have a good relationship with her stepchildren.

Salma confessed that her marriage was stronger than ever during a sit-down with Dax Shepard on his Armchair Expert podcast.

‘In pictures, you cannot begin to guess the magic in [François-Henri],’ she said. ‘He’s made me become a much better person.

‘And, you know, when I married him, everybody said, “Oh, it’s arranged marriage, she married him for the money.” I’m like, “Yeah, whatever, b****. Think what you want.”

‘Fifteen years together, and we are strong in love. And I don’t even get offended; I’m like, “Yeah, whatever.”‘
