Meanwhile, trailing behind the rest of the group are married couple Tanya and Vito, who have six-to-one odds.

Despite this year’s season only starting on Sunday, viewers are already backing Block favourites Ronnie and Georgia, who first appeared on the show four years ago.

The couple is determined to win the top spot this year, after placing third in 2017, which saw them pocket $161,000 from their renovation.

‘I want to do a really good job, and returning as all-stars brings even more expectation and pressure. We are our own worst critics,’ said Georgia.

‘We will be a little bit smarter and a little bit wiser this season.’

Unlike previous seasons, there are no house plans for the teams to work off, and they’ve been tasked with designing the layout from scratch.

‘The competitive spirit of both the Fans and the Faves in this high-pressure build with no plans takes things to a new level week after week and I can’t wait for audiences to see that,’ said executive producer and Block co-creator Julian Cress.
