Pregnant Rachel Riley cuddles up to daughter Maven, 16 months, in tot’s impressive playroom as she enjoys downtime amid ongoing libel trial
She is currently embroiled in a court case with ex-Jeremy Corbyn aide Laura Murray over a 2019 tweet by Laura, 32, that accused the Countdown star of suggesting the former Labour leader was a Nazi who ‘deserves to be violently attacked.’
But pregnant Rachel Riley was able to take her mind off the ongoing court case on Thursday, when she enjoyed some downtime with her 16-month-old daughter Maven in the little girl’s impressive playroom.
Rachel, 35 – who shares Maven with husband Pasha Kovalev – took to Instagram to share a snap of herself and Maven, who was sitting on a rocking horse, explaining to fans that she and Pasha, 41, had filmed a segment with their daughter for the BBC‘s children’s show, Tiny Happy People.

Dressing her daughter in a rainbow coloured cardigan for the fun snap, Rachel – who donned a lilac jumper and black trousers – appeared in high spirits as she leaned into her first born.
With her glossy blonde hair worn loose and straight, doting mother Rachel smiled for the camera as she encouraged her fans to tune into Friday’s installment of the BBC show.
Behind the pair, Maven’s toys were visible, including a lion teddy, a stroller and counting blocks.
Rachel and Laura’s row began after a Brexiteer smashed an egg on Mr Corbyn’s head during a visit to Finsbury Park Mosque in north London on March 3, 2019.

Rachel had shared a post from Guardian columnist Owen Jones who, when an egg was thrown at former BNP president Nick Griffin, commented: ‘I think sound life advice is, if you don’t want eggs thrown at you, don’t be a Nazi’.
But Laura, formerly a senior aide to Mr Corbyn, herself replied to Rachel describing her as ‘dangerous’ and ‘stupid’ and accusing her of saying the Islington North MP deserved ‘to be violently attacked’.
The TV presenter – who told court her re-sharing of Jones’ post was ‘sarcastic’ – claims Laura’s tweet instigated a Twitter ‘pile on’, which led to sleepless nights and caused people to request her sacking from Channel 4.
Elsewhere, Rachel and Pasha announced they are expecting their second child last month.
After sharing the news in April, Rachel also posted two selfies from the set of Countdown which showed off her baby bump.
Guess what? The presenter asked her fans to figure out her latest Countdown teaser, which aptly spelt the phrase fertility when she shared the news of her second pregnancy in April

In the caption of her post, Rachel joked that she didn’t need to hold her stomach in anymore as she wrote: ‘Nice being able to breathe again at work! No more stomach holding in, phew.’
The maths guru met Pasha while they competed on Strictly together in 2013, and they married six years later in a surprise Las Vegas ceremony, just weeks after announcing they were set to become parents.
Rachel and Pasha welcomed their first child, daughter Maven Aria in December 2019, with the star announcing her arrival after the tot was two weeks overdue.
