Phoebe Burgess says she’s with her children ‘every single day’ as they spend lockdown in Bowral… after her ex-husband Sam revealed the pain of being separated from their kids
Former NRL star Sam Burgess revealed on Tuesday’s episode of SAS Australia he doesn’t get to see his children as much as he would like after his divorce.
And after this raw confession, in which he also admitted to hurting his family with his addiction problems, Sam’s ex-wife Phoebe Burgess shared a poignant post on Instagram about her experience of co-parenting.
The journalist-turned-influencer, 32, shared a gallery of photos of herself playing with son Billy, two, and daughter Poppy, four, at her country estate in Bowral, NSW, and wrote: ‘This is where I choose to be, every single day. Rain. Hail. Shine.’

Phoebe also shared a quote about motherhood, which read: ‘Motherhood is hard.
‘Whenever you can, mention that to another mom. Especially a new one. So many women have been conditioned to “suck it up and carry on” no matter how much they’re struggling.’
‘Hearing that it’s not easy for anyone may be what that gets them through today.’

‘I had a lot of personal issues going on, which turned me to drink and drugs,’ he said.
‘[It] caused a lot of pain for my mum. She doesn’t deserve that, she’s a great mother, I love her to bits.
‘[It] caused pain for all my three brothers, who I love more than this world.’
