Football’s royal family the Mannings have minted their newest NFL star after high school junior Arch showed off his skills during Saturday’s season opener. 

The 16 year-old, who is star quarterback at Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans, and is considered America’s best high school football player, completed 19 of 34 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns. 

Manning, who wears jersey number 16, also carried the ball five times for 50 yards and a score in a 28-0 shutout victory over Vanderbilt Catholic. 

Arch Manning is the top junior recruit in the country, and accounted for nearly 200 yards and four touchdowns in the first 20 minutes of the game, according to MaxPreps.com, which keeps track of high school stats from around the country. 

The six-foot four-inch quarterback also threw touchdown passes to three different receivers on Newman’s first three possessions.

Arch – number 16 – is the latest Manning to pop onto the scene. He comes from a long line of NFL greatness going back to his grandfather, who played in the 1960s and early 1970s.

Arch Manning – son of Cooper and nephew of Eli and Peyton – is the top high school junior recruit in the country. In the season opener, he threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns

Arch is Cooper Manning’s son and comes from a long lineage of NFL greatness that goes back to the 1960s with his grandpa Archie Manning.  

Archie had three sons – Cooper, Peyton and Eli – and two are NFL legends. 

Peyton is arguably the greatest regular-season quarterback to ever play, won two Super Bowls with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year. 

He finished his illustrious, 18-year career with five Most Valuable Player awards – the most ever – and 71,940 yards passing and 539 passing touchdowns –  both of which rank first all time.

Eli won two Super Bowls in his 16-year career with the New York Giants against the vaunted New England Patriots and legendary quarterback Tom Brady,

He will be debated as Hall of Fame inductee when he’s eligible. 

Cooper – Peyton and Eli’s older brother – appeared headed for NFL stardom as a wide receiver but he suffering from numbness in his hands and fingers in college. 

He was ultimately diagnosed with spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal column, before he ever caught a collegiate pass. 

His football career was over after the diagnosis at the age of 18.
