The second man, 55, was hospitalized in critical condition after he fell from the bridge. Both men were wearing harnesses, but were briefly unclipped while they were shifting to another location on the structure.

Police at the scene said that wind ‘may have been a factor’ in the freak accident. They could be seen interviewing a group of contractors in yellow vests, although it isn’t certain that they were the deceased man’s coworkers.
