He’s tried being a professional footballer like his famous father. He’s been a model and a photographer, and his most recent attempt to launch a career was fronting a much derided cookery TV show.

Now Brooklyn Beckham is set to appear in short videos on Vogue magazine’s website, which will also feature coverage of his forthcoming wedding in April.

It comes after the 22-year-old’s parents David and Victoria, who are friends of Vogue editor Edward Enninful, have repeatedly been accused of using their connections to ensure their son gets work.

In 2016, Burberry’s decision to hire Mr Beckham, then aged 16, to shoot a fragrance campaign prompted anger in the photography industry. Christopher Bailey, the company’s CEO, is a close friend of Mrs Beckham and it was thought to be their friendship that landed him the job. One of her other sons, Romeo, also modelled for the label in 2013 when he was just 11.

Last week, he once cooked for heiress Miss Peltz, making a heart-shaped pizza to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

A source close to Vogue said: ‘While Brooklyn might be a celebrity in his own right these days, you do have to wonder what involvement David and Victoria had with this, given their close friendship with Edward.’

After his attempts to become a footballer failed, Brooklyn turned his sights to photography and published a book of his pictures. He studied photography at Parsons School of Design in New York, but pulled out after a year.

Next he tried modelling, getting a big-money contract with men’s clothing shop Pull & Bear in a deal organised by his father’s behind-the-scenes team.

And last year he was mocked after launching a career as a chef on US show Good Morning America, where he demonstrated how to make a bacon, sausage and egg sandwich. His much ridiculed cookery shows have already appeared on Vogue’s online platform, including one in December when he made a pasta dish for his fiancee Nicola Peltz.
