Donald Trump said Stephanie Grisham was ‘angry and bitter about her break-up’ and Melania discussed her ‘failed personal relationships’ as they railed against her bombshell allegations in her tell-all memoir.
The former first couple, both of whom Grisham worked for as press secretary, didn’t identify the name of the partner.
But it appears they were referring to Max Miller, a former White House official who is now running for Congress in Ohio with Trump’s backing, who split with Grisham after an apparently tumultuous relationship.
An insider close to both Miller and Grisham told DailyMail.com on Wednesday: ‘Neither of them were angels – they had a pretty volatile relationship. But even if she laid her hands on him, he should have kept his hands in his pockets.’
In June, the 32-year-old Miller got engaged to Emily Moreno, 27, the daughter of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bernie Moreno. The pair rekindled their romance after dating briefly in 2015.

It follows allegations this year that he slapped Grisham after she accused him of cheating on her.
Grisham claims in her new book, I’ll Take Your Questions Now, that Trump asked her if her boyfriend was ‘good in bed’.
She didn’t identify who he was referring to, but Miller was her significant other at the time.
Miller was dating Grisham in April 2020 when she confronted him in his Washington DC condo, accusing him of cheating on her, sources told Politico.
Three unnamed sources cited by Politico claim he pushed her against a wall and slapped her.
He has strenuously denied it, Grisham did not comment and the incident is not thought to have been reported to the police.
But according to Politico, it is one of a series of incidents that raise questions about Miller’s past.

Others, the sources say, include him ‘upsetting her’ then ‘going very, very cold’.
Miller’s attorney denied all of the allegations in a nine-page letter.
‘Mr. Miller has never, ever, assaulted Ms. Grisham in any way whatsoever,’ attorney, Larry Zukerman said.

Grisham, who served as Melania Trump’s spokesperson and also briefly as White House Press Secretary, did not respond to DailyMail.com’s inquiries at the time of the report.
It also not clear if she expanded on the relationship in the book.
The Politico report says that Grisham had all but moved in with Miller last year despite owning her own condo.
She is said to have confronted him in his apartment and he allegedly slapped her.
‘Miller pushed her. He slapped her. She fled. The temperatures that evening dipped into the 40s, and Grisham left with no coat, only her purse,’ the report reads.
He denied it but the unnamed sources insisted it was true.
‘It happened. It was violent and it was hard for her,’ said one of the sources – described as being someone ‘very close’ to Grisham, but not in the White House,
Another added: ‘We just talked and cried. This was not a moment of gossip. This was not a moment of slander. This was a moment of pain and fear.’
