In my field we get looked upon with an external eye for outside appearances. What ‘s important to me is to focus on the internal that comes from within.

VIVAMAYR Maria Wörth: The facts
The medical spa was established in 2004 by Harald and Christine Stossier and is situated in the historic Austrian region of Carinthia, on the banks of the Lake Altaussee
The exclusive spa sits in a prime location on the banks of Lake Altaussee and, according to its website, is a popular retreat for ‘Russian oligarchs, wealthy Austrian housewives and affluent Brits’
It combines a sophisticated medical diagnostic clinic with the luxury of a modern five star hotel, to provide a retreat or those looking for rest, relaxation and a health transformation
Treatments on offer include ‘The Cure’, a rigorous detox created by Austrian doctor and renowned digestion expert Franz Xaver Mayr
While a three week stay is usually recommended, one week is said to cleanse both the large and small intestine, the liver and the kidneys, all while bolstering the digestive system
Guests are requited to spend a minimum of three days on a 600-calorie a day, soup-based alkaline diet tailored to the specific requirements of each person
They can also take advantage of an indoor pool, infra-red chairs and a 90 degree Finnish sauna and steam room, as well as a herbal tea bar
Electronic equipment such as mobile phones and iPads are prohibited from the dining room, while a 9.30pm curfew is encouraged but not enforced
