A foodie has revealed how to cut broccoli without making a mess.
‘Does anyone else find it super annoying when you are cutting broccoli and it gets little fragments everywhere,’ the popular home cook said in the video.

Australian home cook Mon Mack shared the hack on TikTok admitting it might be ‘niche’ but she found it to be extremely useful
She then demonstrated what she meant before revealing how to fix the mess-making problem.
‘Next time you do it blanch the broccoli head in boiling water for a couple of seconds,’ she said.
‘That should hold it all together nicely and make less mess for you.’
Mon demonstrated the blanching process and then cut the broccoli again.
This time the florets stayed in tact.
It appeared the ‘hack’ wasn’t as niche as Mon first thought. Her video quickly went viral and has been viewed more than 176k times with more than a hundred fans leaving comments.
The home cook showed off the difference in mess depending on how the vegetable was cut

Another woman said the video would change her life.
‘I love this,’ added one fan.

She said it only had to be blanched for a few seconds to be effective
‘Thankyou, I eat broccoli almost every day and always make a mess,’ admitted another.
Some offered their own tips.
‘Or just hold it upside down and cut each head off at the stem,’ suggested another.
‘I just snap them off, it annoys me too much trying to cut them.’
Others said the vegetable is easier to cut with scissors.
