Michelle Keegan wraps up in a padded coat while filming scenes for Brassic in Manchester 


She threw an epic 60th birthday party for her mother Jackie over the weekend.

And Michelle Keegan was back at work on Tuesday as she filmed scenes for Brassic on location in Manchester. 

The actress, 34, cut a casual figure as she was seen on the set of the Sky One series in the city centre before jumping into a a gold Citroën Saxo to film scenes on the road.

Michelle donned a blue denim jacket for the day which she paired with black trousers and matching boots.

The former Coronation Street star wrapped up for the outing in a black padded coat while she styled her locks into a ponytail.

Michelle completed he look with a green and white striped T-shirt and a light pallet of makeup. 

The actress was later seen filming in the supermini – which stopped being produced in 2004 and can be bought secondhand for anything between £185 – £1,580 depending on the model – where she sat in the back alongside two co-stars.

The third series of the show is set to hit screens later this year. Series two ended on a cliffhanger as Vinnie (Joe Gilgun) confessed his true feelings for single mum Erin (Michelle), just as he was being carted off by the police. 

As he was being lead away, Erin, who has dated his best pal Dylan, whispered something inaudible in his ear.

Declaring his feelings, Vinnie said: ‘I know it’s wrong, but you’re the first thing in the morning, and you’re the last thing at night.’

He then added he didn’t know ‘how to tell’ how much she means to him.

Brassic follows the story of Lancashire native Vinnie, who suffers from bipolar disorder and his best friend Dylan, played by Damien Molony, from whom he has been inseparable since childhood.

A tainted past, the boys have dealt, scammed, bribed and conned their way through adolescence.

Now, on the brink of adulthood, their dealing and stealing is catching up with them, with the repercussions of their crimes heading their way.

Michelle plays alongside them as a single mum seeking a better life for herself and son Tyler (Jude Riordan).

While navigating complicated relationships with the show’s leads Dylan and Vinnie, she still strives for a good childhood for her son.

The new series of Brassic is expected to air on Sky One in October this year following the rise of the previous seasons.

It comes after Michelle threw her beloved mum Jackie an epic surprise 60th birthday party over the weekend with help from her husband Mark Wright.

Sharing photos of the celebrations on Instagram, Michelle, 34, revealed the Manchester garden party featured impressive balloon displays, a beautiful sunflower cake and even a live music performance.

Jackie sweetly took to social media on Sunday to thank her daughter and son-in-law, writing: ‘What a secret 60th party I’ve had thanks to Michelle & Mark and all my family and friends for making it so special.’

Jackie’s actual birthday was earlier in August, with Michelle taking to social media at the time to mark the milestone with a collection of rare throwback mother-daughter snaps.

She gushed in the caption: ‘What a woman! My mum, my best friend & hands down THE funniest human on the planet & I know many would agree. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. love you so much.’
