‘We are talking right now. We wanna get out there. We wanna do shows again.

‘We toured the UK in 2019, then, of course, the world’s gone crazy, so when everything’s safe again, we wanna get back out there, so America’s kind of top of our list.’

Mel spoke of her tour hopes as bandmate Mel B, 46, hinted that Victoria Beckham, 47, could join the Spice Girls for a reunion tour as she dropped the date of 2023 for another round of comeback concerts last week.

The singer was a guest host of Steph’s Packed Lunch in honour of Channel 4’s Black To Front Day on Friday, and hinted that all the girls were finally ‘on the same page together’ with their current plans.

She said: ‘We did our last tour and Victoria respectfully ducked out, and you have to respect when someone doesn’t want to go on tour…

‘I’m always pushing to have a Spice Girls reunion and we were in talks last year but then Covid hit so it pushed everyone’s plans…

‘I think we’re hopefully on the same page together – they’re going to kill me for saying this – we’re hoping, especially me, if it has anything to do with me, which it will have because I’m the driving force and will make sure it happens – to tour in 2023!’

MailOnline contacted representatives for the Spice Girls and Victoria for comment.

The girls – Mel B, Mel C, Victoria, Geri Horner, 49, and Emma Bunton, 45 – last toured a number of stadiums in the UK and Ireland in 2019.

Posh Spice was the only member of the band not to take part, telling Vogue Germany at the time: ‘It took me a lot of courage not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again, but to be the one who says, ‘You know, I’m not doing it because things feel different now than they used to.’

‘I’d rather concentrate on my family and my company.’

The fashion designer also reportedly snubbed the girls recently when they met last month to ‘record pieces in front of the camera’ for an online game they are creating.

The girls met for the first time in a year but Victoria was said to have ‘no interest’ in the project.

The remaining four members headed to Black Island Studios in London while Victoria remained in America with her daughter Harper.

A source told The Sun: ‘The Spice Girls are exploring a whole manner of new projects but this one was really exciting to them — their very own Spice game.

They continued: ‘The hope is that it won’t be too long before they get to show it to the fans because it’s something they’ve had in the pipeline for a while.

‘It is one of several things they are working on, including an animated film, and they hope it will help celebrate the Spice Girls’ legacy.’
