Matty ‘J’ Johnson recreates Chris Hemsworth’s iconic 2006 samba on Dancing With The Stars – after revealing his ‘hips are ready’ to step into Thor’s shoes

On Monday’s elimination round on Dancing With The Stars, Matty ‘J’ Johnson took a chance on recreating a classic routine from an episode of yore. 

The former Bachelor chose Chris Hemsworth‘s 2006 samba from season five of the show, hoping to walk in the footsteps of the actor’s iconic turn on the dance floor. 

Matty said that his ‘hips were ready’ for the routine, and insisted that ‘for one night, I get to be Thor!’

Watching video of Chris’ performance, an impressed Matty intoned: ‘It’s just beautiful isn’t it?’ 

The former reality star did well in the performance, with the judges saying while he didn’t nail Chris, he did a fine impression of Peter Allen or drag queen Courtney Act. 

Judge Todd McKenney told Matty of his performance; “It’s not the X Factor with you, it’s the sex factor’.

Matty joked that his partner Laura Byrne demands he come back to bed but he’s too busy playing with his hammers. 

‘I’ve got about 12 hammers. She’s always saying, “Come to bed, what are you doing?”‘ Matty said, laughing.
