Married At First Sight bride Jaimie Gardner drops the price of $16,000 wedding ring to just $1000

Married At First Sight bride Jaimie Gardner drops the price of her $16,000 wedding ring to just $1000 as she desperately tries to sell it off – but it’s all for a good cause

Jaimie Gardner failed to find love the new season of Married At First Sight, and now she is struggling to sell off her wedding ring, too.

The 35-year-old former MAFS bride listed her $16,200 gold and diamond sparkler for auction on eBay, but was forced to lower the starting bid to $1000.

The incentive seems to be working, as the current bid on the ring is $2,750, up from the starting price, with the auction closing at 8pm on Monday.

She explained in an Instagram post: ‘PSA: HELP ME DO SOMETHING GOOD. I’ve amended the opening big to $1k.

‘This hand-crafted, one of a kind diamond ring can be yours. The ring is made by Pavection, designed by Robert Bellamy and is valued at $16.2k AUD. 100% of the proceeds go to charities close to my heart.’

Jaimie first revealed she was selling the ring in an Instagram post earlier in the week.

‘Being able to turn a very impactful and negative experience into something good is so important to me,’ she explained, showing off the breathtaking sparkler.

‘I am beyond proud to have chosen to partner with eBay and Bid for Good to auction my stunning, one-of-a-kind, 18ct white gold and diamond “Duet” wedding ring – from Pavection by Robert Bellamy.’

Jaimie added that ‘100 per cent of the proceeds will be donated to two charities very close to my heart’.
