They were the most widely criticised couple on Married At First Sight this year.

But Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson, both 31, demonstrated their unbreakable bond on Saturday by stepping out in Darwin wearing matching outfits.

The controversial pair looked cheerful as they enjoyed a morning stroll through the leafy streets, before making their way to a nearby park.

Proving the mantra ‘couples who dress together, stay together’, Melissa and Bryce both wore black hats, sunglasses, green tops and black shorts.

They even sported matching black sports watches and and thongs.

Melissa added a feminine touch to her ensemble by slinging a Gucci handbag across her torso, while Bryce carried his mobile phone and wallet in one hand.

Interestingly, Melissa chose not to wear her wedding ring for the outing.

The couple were later seen sitting together on a park bench with two identical bottles of water.

The sighting came two days after Melissa and Bryce made an appearance at a local nightclub called Discovery Darwin.

Documenting their fun night out on Instagram, the lovebirds shared a series of videos of themselves kissing and cuddling on the dance floor.

At one stage, the duo bumped into Bachelorette runner-up Jarrod Woodgate and eagerly posed for pictures with the fellow reality star.

Bryce and Melissa’s on-screen relationship attracted hundreds of negative headlines and even prompted a Change.org petition calling for Nine to formally apologise.

Outraged viewers even filed multiple complaints about the show to the media watchdog, singling out radio announcer Bryce for his problematic behaviour.

Throughout the show, Bryce repeatedly told ‘wife’ Melissa that she wasn’t his type because she didn’t have blue eyes.

He also voted her the ‘fourth hottest’ out of this year’s brides, flirted with co-star Beck Zemek at the gym and later lied about their conversation.

In addition to getting into a series of altercations with the show’s other participants, Bryce was accused of emotional manipulation and gaslighting.

On Monday, Bryce and Melissa announced they were considering taking legal action against MAFS’ production company over their ‘negative portrayals’ on the show.

The pair told New Idea they were left feeling ‘broken’ by their edit, while Melissa confessed to feeling ‘not suicidal, but headed down that path’.
