The show, executive produced by Syd Gentle Films, follows an investigative team in London as they pursue a serial killer who has gruesomely murdered six people and sewn them into one body nicknamed the ‘Ragdoll.’

The team is led by the recently-reinstated DS Nathan Rose (Henry Lloyd-Hughes), who along with his best friend and boss DI Emily Baxter (Thalissa Teixeira) and new recruit DC Lake Edmunds (Hale) must find the murderer before he kills his next six victims.

The six-part series was written by Freddy Syborn, who adapted Daniel Cole’s novel of the same name. During the interview which was conducted over Zoom, Lucy talked about playing against type.

‘When you’re a part of something like Pretty Little Liars or Katy Keane, people definitely want to keep you in that box and I’m very grateful for those opportunities.’

She continued, ‘But, I made the conscious decision that after Katy Keane got cancelled I knew that the next job I did really had to creatively excite me.’

Lucy, who shot to fame when she starred as Aria Montgomery on the ABC Family teen drama Pretty Little Liars, went on to say that her fans ‘have grown up with me’ and she believes they will tune in for her new project.

Hale explained that working on the show was not just a new chapter in her career but a new book.

Lucy said, ‘Going to London and working with Sid Gentile, working with Freddy, I was so excited to work with Henry and Thalissa – it just feels elevated. I feel like I grew working with everyone.’

‘Not even a new chapter, but a new book for sure. A darker, new book.’
