Love Island villa broken into by YouTube prankster: ITV beefing up security after dragging out man who filmed himself trespassing while the islanders slept


Love Island bosses are investigating a security breach to the villa after a YouTuber broke in while the contestants were asleep, with ITV beefing up their security in response. 

Bouncers were said to have spotted the intruder in the garden of the Majorca abode and were forced to drag him out of the building, according to The Sun

Youtube prankster Omer Majid filmed himself on a live broadcast in a corridor before he could be seen under flourescent lights.

Breach: Love Island bosses are investigating a security breach to the villa after a YouTuber bbroke in while the contestants were asleep.

A voice shouting ‘you’re trespassing’ could be heard before the intruder was swiftly removed.

A spokesperson for ITV confirmed to MailOnline: ‘Last night a security breach was identified and an intruder was removed from the Villa with immediate effect. 

‘The safety of both our islanders and our production crew remains our primary concern. 

‘As part of our stringent COVID safety measures, the Villa area that was trespassed has been fully deep cleaned before being made accessible again to the islanders and crew.’

A Love Island insider told MailOnline that bosses have beefed up security at the villa to prevent future intruders from breaking in. 

They also added that the intruder did not get near any of the islanders before he was removed. 

The Love Island villa is guarded by a team of security guards who fend-off trespassers up to five times a day.

Former contestant Alex Miller previously said: ‘When I left, I chatted with the guys who looked after us.
