The new wedding band will be Mookie’s third ring in four years as he has won two World Series championships.

He led the Boston Red Sox to their first title in five years in 2018 before switching over to the West Coast and earning a 2021 World Series win with the Dodgers.

The five-time Gold Glove Award recipient and four-time Silver Slugger Award winner was drafted by the Boston team in 2011 after a great college career at the University of Tennessee. He later made his MLB debut in 2014.

Betts had one of the greatest seasons in the storied history of the Boston Red Sox as he became the first player in MLB history to win  the Most Valuable Player, Silver Slugger, Gold Glove, batting title, and World Series in the same season.

Then, in a move often criticized by baseball fans of varying interest, Mookie was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in February 2020 for Alex Verdugo, Connor Wong, and Jeter Downs.

The Los Angeles major league organization were quick to lock down the star player down for the long haul as they quickly signed him to an extension in July 2020 worth a whopping $365million over 12 years including a $65million signing bonus.

The move ended up being quite fruitful for the team which originated in Brooklyn as they won the World Series in October 2020 which was their first in over 30 years.

Betts has royal roots as he is a distant cousin of Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex.

His parents Diana Benedict and Willie Betts chose his name in part to form the initials MLB matching Major League Baseball.

Benedict – who was Betts’ first Little League Baseball coach – gave him the nickname after watching NBA guard Mookie Blaylock as she is a huge basketball fan.

Brianna graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2015.
