Guy Sebastian has found an ally in Kyle Sandilands as controversy continues to plague him around his stance on the COVID vaccine.
The 39-year-old was recently slammed after sharing a video to Instagram where he withdrew his support from his initial pro-vaccine stance that was part of the #VaxTheNation movement to restart the live music industry.
Kyle, 50, came to The Voice judge’s aid on Thursday’s Kyle & Jackie O Show, and claimed the criticism aimed at Guy had gone too far.

‘It’s too much – the annoying thing about the whole Guy Sebastian fiasco is that he’s started getting accused of being anti-vax and pining to the masses, but he wasn’t doing that,’ the radio host said.
‘He’s vaccinated, he believes in vaccination, he wants to get back to work,’ Kyle added.
Co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson said that the criticism is occurring because the singer appeared seemingly ‘ashamed’ of his original support for vaccines.
‘He’s not ashamed, they’re wrong,’ Kyle responded.

‘He felt it [the video] may have been too preachy, because he knows people who have suffered cancer, cancer survivors… people are stuck between a rock and a hard place, and he knows them. He just didn’t explain it clearly enough.’
The shock jock said a ‘fake narrative’ has been peddled to fuel the outrage.
He then singled out musician Ben Lee, who was one of Sebastian’s critics.
‘Look at the people that had a whinge, people no one even cares about – Ben Lee. Who could care less about what Ben Lee thinks. You did one song 15 years ago, a**ehole, so pull your furry head in and stop b***hing about someone else who does remarkably well.’

Fellow radio host Ray Hadley was another public figure who slammed The Voice judge during the pile on.
The 2GB broadcaster clashed with Guy live on his show on Tuesday after distancing himself from the pro-vaccine campaign.
Hadley described the switch in opinion ‘weak’ and told the singer to ‘get off the fence’ during a tense on-air clash.
He said Sebastian’s ‘weak’ apology was appeasing anti-vaxxers who are keeping Australia locked down.

‘Grow a set, Guy. Don’t [listen] to those who are on your [Instagram] saying, “I’ll never listen to you again, won’t buy your CDs…” Grow a set, mate,’ he snapped.
‘You’re better than that. That was a weak-kneed response, when the vast bulk of the people in your industry are desperate to get back to work, and the only way they get back to work is through double vaccination.’
When Sebastian called into the program to challenge Hadley, the talkback presenter stood his ground, saying: ‘I’m very disappointed in you, to tell you the truth.’

‘I’m equally disappointed in you, Ray,’ Sebastian replied.
The Angels Brought Me Here star insisted he’d only distanced himself from the #VaxTheNation campaign because he knows people who can’t get the vaccine for medical reasons.
‘I think it’s a very false narrative and you’ve actually missed the point of what I’m saying. I haven’t said I don’t support vaccinations – I’m double-jabbed myself.’
