Kendall Jenner joins forces with FKA twigs for new Burberry Olympia bag campaign


In the years since she made a splash with her family in Keeping Up With The Kardashians, she has gone on to secure a name for herself as a bona fide model.

And Kendall Jenner is showing why she’s one of the fashion world’s most coveted faces once again, as she stars in a new campaign for Burberry’s Olympia bag.

The American beauty, 25, has joined forces with British singer FKA twigs, 33, and London-born DJ Shygirl, 28, to promote the signature crescent curved accessories.

Kendall is seen putting on a bold display in a low-cut nude top, featuring delicate golden straps, which merge to form the piping of her ensemble of choice.

Posing with a black purse under her arm, the fashion favourite wears her raven locks in a bone-straight sleek blowout with a centre-parting.

Highlighting her beauty with a palette of makeup that includes cat eye mascara and soft pink lipstick, she also poses in a stylish khaki trouser suit. 

Not to be outdone, FKA twigs, real name Tahliah Barnett, is resplendent in one of Burberry’s signature taupe trench coats, which she teams with peep-toe heels.

With her honey brown tresses styled in long faux locs with finger waves to the front, the star showed off her shapely legs as she posed with a blue handbag.

Meanwhile, Shygirl, real name Blane Muise clutched a black bag under her shoulder as she cut a glamorous figure in a flowing taupe dress with a peephole at the bust.

Styling her ombré locks in a long flowing style, she highlighted her good looks with a minimal palette of makeup.

In a series of images and videos set against a minimalistic backdrop of marble and Burberry beige, the three women ’embody feminine energy, strength, sensuality and freedom of expression’, according to Burberry.

Burberry’s chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci said of the bags: ‘When designing the Olympia, I was thinking about creating the perfect form of a handbag – something that could capture the essence of femininity.

‘So, for the campaign, I wanted to celebrate three incredible women in my life who embody the power and beauty of feminine energy: FKA twigs, Kendall and Shygirl. 

‘These women are amazingly talented and confident, and have a natural fierceness and determination to carve their own paths, each freely expressing their originality through their creativity.’

Discussing her role in the campaign, Kendall said: ‘Every time I am asked to be in a Burberry campaign, I feel as excited as the first time I was asked.

Said FKA twigs: ‘Riccardo is such a genuine person and I greatly admire his creativity, he has this beautiful way of telling stories through his campaigns and collections. It was an incredible experience to work with such a creative team.’

Shygirl added: ‘The first time I met Riccardo, I loved how aligned we were in regards to our approach to life.

‘It’s been great to expand on that creatively with Burberry, especially within this campaign where I’ve really felt able to express a different aspect of my femininity.’

The bag has a crescent curve that moulds closely against the body, ‘an athletic aura told through its defined arc’. The shape nods to the past with a twist of modern classicism. The shoulder bag is sculpted from smooth leather and crafted in Italy.  

Riccardo worked with a team of iconic creative talents including renowned photographers and film directors Inez and Vinoodh, stylist Ib Kamara, make-up artist Kabuki Magic, and hairstylists Jimmy Paul and Lacy Redway.

The Olympia bag is available in a variety of sizes, styles and colourways from classic warm sand, black and burgundy to vibrant marigold yellow, pale blue and juniper green. It is available to purchase globally in Burberry stores and online.

To celebrate the brand’s signature Olympia bag, Burberry is introducing the World of Olympia pop-ups at locations including London, Macau and Hong Kong.
