Katie Price’s fiancé Carl Woods shares loved-up post to mark her 43rd birthday

They wasted no time in jetting off to Portugal on £7 flights, one of the countries currently on the UK’s ‘green list’, after the easing of lockdown on Monday.

And Katie Price was showered with lavish gifts on Saturday to celebrate her 43rd birthday after returning home following her getaway with fiancé Carl Woods.

Due to Portugal being on Britain’s ‘green list’, it means people do not have to quarantine unless their Covid test, which is required to be taken on or before day two upon arrival home, comes back as positive.

The former Love Island star revealed the sprawling property had a swimming pool, jacuzzi, BBQ and an impressive sun lounge area nestled under lavish greenery.

Katie said that she was thrilled to be away and told followers she was sorry the UK is rainy at the moment but that she was loving the sunshine abroad.

Katie and Carl shared a video of their arrival on Monday and a response to a news report, in which he revealed their flights cost £7.

The couple were clearly keen to get away as she posted the selfie showing them both on what appeared to be a busy Ryanair flight to Portugal.

Amid the excitement from many, a slew of Boris Johnson’s top scientists have warned against socialising indoors and the ‘high risk’ of hugging friends because of the rise in Indian variant cases.

The Prime Minister urged families to adopt a ‘heavy dose of caution’ and a cabinet colleague encouraged revellers to avoid ‘excessive drinking’ with ministers at loggerheads over whether to extend lockdown beyond June 21.

There has been an eight per cent rise in infections in a week.

In a hint the easing of all restrictions next month is now under threat, Boris’ official spokesman confirmed that a review of the one-metre plus social distancing rule due to be released on May 31 may now be delayed.

On Sunday evening, thousands of people queued across the UK to enjoy a drink with friends inside pubs and bars after midnight, while on Monday around 20 flights took off for Portugal as holidays became legal again.

People enjoyed a pint and a meal inside for the first time in almost six months. Theatres, cinemas, galleries, museums and other tourist attractions also opened their doors again.

These venues are expected to be even busier this week because heavy showers and gales are forecast for at least the next ten days, with some areas soaked with a month’s worth of rain in the past week.

Can I go on holiday from May 17?

The Government has announced the green, amber and red lists for international travel.

-Who is on the green list?

It consists of Portugal, Gibraltar, Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Brunei, Iceland and the Faroe Islands, plus several small remote islands which are British Overseas Territories.

– So I can go on holiday to anywhere on that list?

Not quite. Entry to Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Brunei and the Faroe Islands is severely restricted.

– Where can I go?

Portugal plans to welcome UK tourists who have had a recent negative test, have recovered from the virus and therefore have antibodies, or had both doses of a vaccine.

Gibraltar will not require UK visitors to be tested or vaccinated, whereas Israel will initially reopen its border on May 23 only to groups of foreign tourists who have had both jabs.

None of these destinations will require arrivals to quarantine.

– What about the amber list?

That covers the most popular holiday destinations such as Spain, France, Italy and Greece.

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said ‘you should not be travelling to these places right now’

– What if I go against that guidance?

People returning from amber countries must take two post-arrival tests.

They are also required to self-isolate at home for 10 days, although they can reduce that time if they take an additional negative test on day-five.

– How about the red list?

Those returning from a red list country must stay in a quarantine hotel for 11 nights at a cost of £1,750.

– Will the lists change?

The lists can be amended at any time, but wholesale changes are not expected to occur until the situation is reviewed at a ‘checkpoint’ on June 28.

– What about vaccine passports?

Grant Shapps confirmed that people in England will be able to demonstrate they have had both doses of a vaccine through the NHS app.
