Harris, 57, received the much-discussed booster shot from a member of the White House Medical Unit – a day before President Biden’s twice vaccinated press secretary Jen Psaki announced she contracted the virus.
‘Let’s get vaccinated and we will get through the pandemic,’ Harris told reporters during a two-minute appearance at the auditorium-style set according to the New York Post.
‘What we know at this point in our country, the vast majority… well over 90 percent of the people in an ICU or dying from COVID are unvaccinated,’ she said.
The VP was able to negate Centers for Disease Control and Prevention rules – which call for those over the age of 65 – to receive the booster shot due to the fact that her job requires frequent travel, according to her office.

Despite the CDC approving a mix-and-match vaccine approach, Harris opted to receive a third dose of Moderna, which was the same type she received for her first and second COVID-19 shots back in December and January, respectively.
Earlier this month, President Joe Biden also used the very same set Harris used when he got his COVID-19 booster shot, as well as for presidential zoom sessions and other public events.
The target of mockery and derision after Republicans called out the Hollywood-style set stand-in for the White House, which was built on a stage inside the humbly named South Court Auditorium inside the Old Executive Office Building.
It even has exterior views that to an untrained viewer during a tight shot might give the impression it is the White House itself.
Biden has used it on multiple occasions, including at a ‘Build Back Better’ event last week where a fake window showed flowers in bloom in the Rose Garden, which in fact is located nearby and south of the White House itself.
President Joe Biden is coming under criticism for using a newly-constructed set that includes fake windows and digital views of the Rose Garden
Lights, camera, action! Biden has used the room for a series of events, including one with Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen (R) and CEO of Raytheon Technologies Gregory Hayes (L)
The set is equipped with new lighting and large-screen computer screens. Biden used them to conduct a zoom meeting with world leaders during the meeting of the UN General Assembly – an event he had attended in person in New York before returning to Washington.
The arrangement, which usually includes flags, small desks, and windows that show digital images of the White House, has drawn mocking online from many of Biden’s critics – who wonder why he doesn’t just use the real White House.
‘Why did the White House build a literal game show set complete with fake windows for Joe Biden??? So weird,’ tweeted Abigain Marone, press secretary for Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.). She added in another tweet: ‘WE ARE LIVING IN AN EPISODE OF VEEP,’ in reference to the TV show.
Former Trump advisor Stephen Miller had his own view for the reasons behind the set – making Biden look and sound good during made-for-TV events.
‘The reason Biden uses this bizarre virtual set for televised meetings — and not an actual room like East Room, Cabinet, Oval, Roosevelt, Sit Room, etc. — is because it allows him to read a script directly from a face-on monitor (& w/out teleprompter glass that can be seen on camera),’ he tweeted.

The fake views has led some more conspiratorially-inclined people to conclude other things are amiss, with one poster on Instagram even suggesting Biden got a ‘fake booster shot.’ A fact-checker knocked down the idea as attention on the set grew.
The set-up isn’t brand-new. DailyMail.com tweeted about it in late September, and noted the windows had a sunny do on a day that was mostly cloudy.
The auditorium has advantages beyond the set itself. When the president appears there, reporters are seated in auditorium style chairs back from the elevated stage, making it hard to make eye contact or get in a question.
Biden has other rooms at his disposal – but recent events in the Oval Office with dignitaries have featured aides trying to get reporters trying to shout out questions to exit.
Double vaccinated WH press secretary Jen Psaki reveals she’s tested positive for COVID – the highest ranking White House official to catch the virus
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki revealed on Sunday evening she had tested positive for COVID-19 after deciding not to travel with President Biden to the G20 summit in Rome because members of her family had already received positive tests.
Psaki, 42, who has had two doses of vaccine, said she was last in contact with the president on Tuesday, and the two sat more than 6 feet apart while wearing masks.
It makes her the most visible member of the Biden administration to test positive.
‘While I have not had close contact in person with the president or senior members of the White House staff since Wednesday – and tested negative for four days after that last contact – I am disclosing today’s positive test out of an abundance of transparency,’ she said in a statement.
‘I last saw the president on Tuesday, when we sat outside more than six-feet apart, and wore masks.’
She was a late scratch from Biden’s trip to summit in Rome, replaced on the trip by principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Officials at the time cited a family emergency.
Psaki said: ‘On Wednesday, in coordination with senior leadership at the White House and the medical team, I made the decision not to travel on the foreign trip with the President due to a family emergency, which was members of my household testing positive for COVID-19.’
She said she was working from home.
‘Thanks to the vaccine, I have only experienced mild symptoms which has enabled me to continue working from home.
‘I will plan to return to work in person at the conclusion of the ten day quarantine following a negative rapid test, which is an additional White House requirement, beyond CDC guidance, taken out of an abundance of caution.’
Biden arrived in Rome on Thursday.
After an audience with the pope on Friday, and two days of G20 summitry over the weekend he flies to Scotland on Monday for a major U.N. climate conference.

His press secretary would usually be expected to attend such an important trip and Biden’s chance to make an impact at multiple global summits as president.
White House staff and others traveling with the president have been undergoing daily tests for COVID-19 since before departing Washington and are all fully vaccinated.
Many officials have also received booster shots, due to the close-quarters environment and frequent travel associated with their work.
Biden got his COVID-19 booster on Sept 27, shortly after federal regulators approved the third dose for many Americans.
He is also tested every couple of weeks.
Vice President Kamala Harris got hers on Saturday.
In contrast, Biden’s predecessor Donald Trump eschewed masks and repeatedly played down the risks.
