Jordan Alexander and Whitney Peak are spotted filming Gossip Girl

Gossip Girl’s Jordan Alexander and Whitney Peak appeared to have a screaming argument on the Manhattan set of Joshua Safran’s 10-episode spin-off, which premieres July 8 on HBO Max.

It ended with 27-year-old Jordan – who plays teen influencer Julien Calloway – running away from St. Jude’s in distress.

Alexander wore a white inside-out sweater dress with a blue bandana around her neck and teal-suede high-heel boots selected by the original teen soap’s costume designer Eric Daman.

Premieres July 8 on HBO Max! Gossip Girl’s Jordan Alexander (L) and Whitney Peak (R) appeared to have a screaming argument on the Manhattan set of Joshua Safran’s 10-episode spin-off

Between takes Jordan and 17-year-old Whitney were cracking up laughing at their dramatic display for the cameras.

Peak – who was born in Uganda and raised near Vancouver – portrays Zoya Lott, who’s the new Dan Humphrey outsider character in the ‘more queer and diverse’ reboot.

Whitney – also wearing a kerchief around her neck – evoked nineties fashion in a green-plaid overall mini-dress beneath a yellow plaid flannel shirt and Doc Marten boots.

The camera crane focused on Peak’s face for a reaction shot while she was surrounded by six other cast members at the entrance of their Upper East Side school.

Among them were Savannah Smith, who plays the powerful Monet de Haan; and Zión Moreno, who plays Luna La.

The 28-year-old transgender actress was seen embracing her castmate Thomas Doherty, whose character Max Wolfe is the new version of Chuck Bass.

Speaking of PDA, Alexander was seen warmly embracing her castmate Emily Alyn Lind, who plays Audrey Hope in Gossip Girl.

Also spotted on set on Tuesday were Evan Mock, who plays Audrey’s boyfriend Aki Menzies; and Eli Brown, who plays Julien’s boyfriend Otto ‘Obie’ Bergmann IV.

The next generation of Gossip Girl is set nine years after the original series, and there’s apparently a ‘big plot twist’ for the post-COVID, social media-obsessed continuation.

Kristen Bell reprises her narrator role from Josh Savage and Stephanie Schwartz’s show, which ran for six seasons from 2007-2012.

Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick may or may not make cameos, but their characters ‘exist in this world.’

‘The characters talk about them and that they do exist. So, yeah, I would love to have them come back,’ Safran, the showrunner, told ET back in 2019.

‘The show jumped five years in the future when it ended and we are past that five years now, so it’s whole new things that they could be doing.’
