EXCLUSIVE: Jonathan Ross rummages through his £2,000 green Gucci leather handbag before taking his £24,000 Mazda MX-5 for a spin

We are used to seeing him in a smart suit when hosting his talk show.

But Jonathan Ross looked rather more characterful with a bright green bag as he got into his striking orange car at the weekend.

The Masked Dancer judge, 60, rummaged through the Gucci leather holdall – costing nearly £2,000 – on his way to his Mazda MX-5, which costs from £24,000 new.

Ross, who is known for his love of expensive cars, has previously owned a limited edition 007 Ford Thunderbird and a £40,000 classic Morgan Roadster.

The presenter was pictured in a Sixties-style punk jacket, adorned with buckles, along with black baggy trousers and shiny leather lace-up boots ahead of his appearance on the panel of ITV’s The Masked Dancer, which launched on Saturday night.

It is a spin-off show of popular series The Masked Singer, of which he is also a judge. He was joined by Strictly’s Oti Mabuse, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan as they tried to guess the identities of celebrity contestants performing routines while disguised in extravagant costumes.
