The kind reveal from the Zoey 101 actress comes weeks after Britney for the first time spoke in a Los Angeles court amid her efforts to remove her father Jamie Spears from the head of the conservatorship she’s been under since 2008, amid a pileup of personal problems at the time.
The request was subsequently denied without prejudice, about a week after the Lucky singer called the arrangement ‘abusive.
She said, ‘I just want my life back. And it’s been 13 years. And it’s enough. It’s been a long time since I’ve owned my money. And it’s my wish and my dream for all of this to end without being tested.’
Jamie continues to be the sole conservator of his daughter’s estate and wealth, with court-appointed conservator Jodi Montgomery overseeing the singer’s personal care the past two years.
