Wedding bells! Jake Quickenden is engaged to his girlfriend Sophie Church

Jake previously revealed  he was ready to take the next step with his now-fiance Sophie, 28, in May as he told how he planned to propose very soon.

Just months ago, Jake said that a proposal was definitely ‘on the cards’ in the near future, and he has stayed true to his word.

Discussing the idea of him popping the question, Jake teased to Entertainment Daily: ‘We’re not engaged yet. I’ll just leave it at that. Very soon. Very soon. I’ll get down on one knee very soon. Obviously it’s on the cards. Usually people are married then they have kids but we’ve done it the other way round.’

Jake also hinted that their potential big day will have to be put on hold until the coronavirus pandemic has subsided, as he wants ‘everything to clear up first.’

The singer went on to praise his ‘diamond’ girlfriend for the way she’s handled juggling work and motherhood since giving birth to Leo 11 months ago.
