A dog owner was left shocked after they dropped their ‘cute’ dog off at the groomers only to find he looked very different afterwards.
The dog’s unfortunate new look was shared on Reddit with many claiming he looked like Pennywise the Clown.
The beloved pooch, who is believed to be a Labradoodle from the US, was shaved down to the skin due to his fur being extremely matted.
The only fur left was around the dog’s ears which gave him the creepy new look.
Pennywise is the dancing and shapeshifting clown who preys upon children in the town of Derry, Maine, in Stephen King’s cult novel It.

The famous scary clown has red spiky hair which surrounds his bright white face.
The hilarious post has been upvoted more than 18,000 times and received nearly 300 comments.
Joking about the mishap, the owner wrote: ‘I feel like my dog looks way too cute’. Barber: “I got chu fam”.’
Many found the snaps hilarious with people rushing to the comments to give their thoughts on the dogs resemblance to the famous clown.

Many explained that poodle-cross breeds often need a close shave because their hair gets ‘matted.’
One person wrote: ‘Dog groomer’s spouse here. I hear horror stories about Doodles at least twice a day.
‘Apparently like one out of every five to 10 are so matted underneath the top coat that they need to be shaved down.
‘My wife gets cussed out almost every time this happens, even though they tell owners (and even send out f**** letters) about regularly brushing their doodle.’
