Harry Styles‘ grandad has died, with the singer’s mum Anne Twist confirming the news on social media with a moving tribute.
Anne shared that the family are ‘heartbroken’ and ‘reeling from the loss’ of their much loved relative as she thanked fans and friends for their support.
She posted a sweet picture of herself with her dad Brian Selley, describing him as ‘brave and courageous’ as she fondly remembered him.

Anne penned alongside the picture shared on Monday: ‘My heart is broken once more… our family has been reeling from the loss of our Dad / Grandad / brother / friend.
‘Dad you were so brave and courageous, always smiling and with a sharp and witty comment at just the right time.’
She continued: ‘We love you totally and forever. Sleep sweetly you beautifully man. Go be with Mum xxx.’
Harry’s mother Anne signed off by thanking those who had reached out to the family, adding: ‘THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR THOUGHTS & COMMENTS XXX.’

No other details surrounding Brian’s death have been shared.
Her post has since been inundated with condolences from fans and friends alike, with X Factor host Dermot O’Leary ‘sending love’ to Anne and Harry’s family.
Dermot commented: ‘Im so sorry Anne, sending love x (sic).’
Danielle Peazer, who previously dated Harry’s One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, posted: ‘Sorry for your loss, sending you all lots of love xx.’
Harry’s sister Gemma shared three heart emojis underneath her mum’s post.
She also paid tribute to her grandfather in her own post shared via her Instagram page, which included a throwback photo of her with Brian when she was a baby.

Gemma sweetly wrote alongside it: ‘Rest easy Grandad, effortless comic and all around wonderful man.’
Last month, Anne was seen wishing dad Brian happy birthday as she shared a sweet picture of the pair with her 2.5million followers on Instagram.
She wrote on July 1: ‘Happy Birthday to the first and best man in my life love you Dad.’
Watermelon Sugar hit-maker Harry hasn’t publicly commented on news of his grandfather’s death.
His last Instagram post was shared last month and announced his plans to tour the US from September.
Harry, who is dating actress Olivia Wilde, revealed: ‘LOVE ON TOUR will be going out across the USA this September and I could not be more excited for these shows. As always, the well-being of my fans, band, and crew, is my top priority.
‘Safety guidelines will be available on the respective venue websites to ensure we can all be together as safely as possible. Please notice that some dates have changed, and new shows have been added.’
Harry added that those in the UK will have to wait to see him back on stage, as it’s currently ‘not possible’ for him to secure tour dates due to the coronavirus pandemic.
‘To everyone in the UK, and across the world, I can’t wait to see you again, but for obvious reasons it is just not possible at this time,’ he said.
‘I will be sharing more news soon about shows across the globe, and new music. I love you all so much. I’m very excited, and I can’t wait to see you. H.’
