A giant Great white shark gave a tourist boat the show of a lifetime when it leaped from the water.
Calypso Charters tour guide Andrew Wright had been reeling in a bait line in the waters near Port Lincoln, South Australia, on Thursday when the shark revealed itself.
The tourists reportedly cheered at the shark’s impressive jump just metres from the boat while those in the cage below the boat got to see the shark up close.

‘There was lots of cheering and excitement, so everyone was certainly impressed,’ Mr Wright told Nine News.
‘It’s good viewing from the boat but also in the cage. So, all in all, it was a good day.’
He also added that the large shark so close was a rare sighting.
‘Seeing them jump out of the water like that, particularly at close range, is certainly not a normal occurrence,’ he said.
Shark cage diving is a popular tourist activity in Port Lincoln as great white are attracted to the area by large seal populations.
