The grandson of late televangelist Rev Billy Graham has been hospitalized with COVID-19 and is in critical condition.
Jonathan Lotz, who like his grandfather also runs a ministry, is currently in the ICU at an undisclosed hospital.
His mother, Anne Graham Lotz, said Jonathan has not been placed on a ventilator and is ‘physically exhausted yet Spiritually overflowing’.
In a Facebook post published Sunday evening, Anne shared that Jonathan had texted her with an update condition on his condition earlier that morning.
He told her that although he was tired, he was ‘continually pouring over the Psalms of Ascent (120-134) in ICU’ and had the ‘the privilege of sharing Jesus with the ER & ICU staff!’
Anne, along with their entire family, is asking people to keep Jonathan in their prayers.
‘Just please don’t let up,’ she pleaded on social media. ‘Pray he will not have to go on a ventilator, that his oxygen levels would increase, that his lungs will be strengthened, healed and that his health will be fully restored—with no long term complications. My heart is filled with gratitude for your prayers.’

Anne’s recent request for prayers echoed an earlier post announcing Jonathan’s hospitalization.
‘Fifty years ago I could hold my son in my arms,’ she wrote on Saturday. ‘Now I have placed him in the arms of Jesus. He has been hospitalized with COVID and is in critical condition.
‘I am asking you to pray for Jonathan’s swift healing and recovery.’
It is unclear if Jonathan received the COVID-19 vaccine. WRAL outreached to his organization, Jonathan Lotz Ministries, who reportedly declined to comment on his current condition or vaccination status.

Jonathan is no stranger to pain and suffering, according to his ministry bio. He has previously experienced ‘athletic disappointment,’ cancer, divorce and unemployment.
The ministry director has testified about his struggles in the past, saying that ‘God has brought him through challenge after challenge’.
Before starting his own ministry, Jonathan worked alongside his grandfather, Rev. Billy Graham. The New York Post reports the two shared the Lord’s teachings together from rom 1994 to 2002.
Graham passed away at age 99 in 2018 at his North Carolina home. He was remembered for being one of the 20th century’s most influential religious leaders.
He preached Christianity for seven decades, visited 185 countries and testifying to more than 215 million people.
