Footballer Kevin De Bruyne goes shirtless as he soaks up the sun during a day on a beach with his family in Ibiza… after Belgium’s Euro 2020 loss

His team crashed out of the Euro 2020 tournament earlier this month after suffering a 2-1 loss to eventual winners Italy.

But Kevin De Bruyne brushed aside the defeat as he went shirtless while enjoying a day at the beach during a family holiday to Ibiza on Friday.

The Belgian footballer, 30, appeared in great spirits as he doted on his young family while relaxing on Es Cavallet beach on the Balearic island.

Kevin has earlier geared up for a great day out as he was seen carrying a rubber ring and beach toys as he and his loved ones made their way to the beach.

The Manchester City star looked chilled in a crisp white T-shirt, dark green shorts and black sliders, while finishing his look with a pair of trendy sunglasses.

Kevin married his partner Michele Lacroix in 2017, after dating since 2014.

The Belgium international proposed to Lacroix under the Eiffel Tower during a romantic trip to Paris in 2016, having welcomed their son Mason earlier in the year.

The couple also share son Rome and daughter Suri.

Last month Kevin admitted he felt a ‘responsibility’ to play for Belgium despite picking up an ankle injury in the previous round as his side tumbled out of Euro 2020.

De Bruyne played the full 90 minutes as Belgium were edged out 2-1 by Italy in a quarter-final where the Manchester City star surprised many by being named among the starting XI.

The midfielder had picked up an ankle injury which forced him off early in the last-16 victory over Portugal, but claims Belgium’s medical staff performed miracles to get him fit enough to feature against the Azzurri.

‘For me personally it has been four or five weird weeks,’ he told UEFA after the game.

‘But I especially want to thank the medical staff. It was a miracle that I played today because there was definitely damage to my ankle. A tear in my ligaments.

‘But I felt responsibility to play for my country today. Too bad I couldn’t do more.’

Italy went on to win the tournament following a nail-biting penalty shootout against England in the final.
