The father of missing Florida college student Miya Marcano has written a heartbreaking message to his daughter on Instagram saying ‘we will not stop until you’re back home’.
Miya’s father, Marlon Marcano, penned an emotional note to his daughter on social media, alongside a picture of his 19-year-old daughter.
‘Mimi, my heart is aching. I haven’t slept or eaten in days. Where are you baby???’ he wrote on his social media page.
‘I’m slowly losing my mind over here. Never have we ever gone so long without even a text message to each other.’
The worried father spoke directly to Miya and said: ‘If your [sic] you’re able to read this message, please know that your Daddy and the entire world loves you. Please don’t lose faith. We will find you…. I love you always and forever!
Miya lived and worked at the Arden Villas apartment complex in Orlando and was last seen finishing her shift there at around 5pm on Friday before she vanished. Signs of a violent struggle, including bloodstains on a pillow, were found at the scene.
Prime suspect Armando Manuel Caballero was found dead at the apartment complex on Monday.
The 27-year-old maintenance worker was ‘infatuated’ with Miya, her friends said, and police revealed he had used a ‘maintenance-issued master key fob’ to break into her room on the day of her disappearance.
On Wednesday, deputies released audio from a 911 call of a woman who discovered his body hanging in a maintenance garage.
‘We found a suicide on property,’ said the woman, whose name was redacted from the audio recording.

Miya’s father Marlon has posted frequently on social media as the search for his daughter continues.
In his most recent post, Marlon appears to be more desperate to find Miya. ‘We’re both hurting deeply!’ he captioned the photo of him kissing Miya on the side of her head at her high school graduation.
‘I can feel your energy and I know you’re feeling mine…Don’t give up on me! Send me a sign baby girl. I’m looking for you,’ he added.
In previous posts Marcano pleaded with people to help him find Miya and asked that everyone share and repost her photo.
He ended each caption with hashtags: ‘DaddyDaughter,’ ‘MyPrincess,’ ‘MyBaby’ and ‘WeWillFindYou.’
Miya is five feet tall and 130 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes, and was last seen at around 5pm on September 24 as she finished her shift at Arden Villas Condominiums.

Maintenance worker Caballero, 27, allegedly broke into Miya’s room a half hour before she was last seen, and police were set to arrest him on suspected burglary charges when a woman found his body and called the local police department.
‘Someone hung themselves from a garage,’ she said in the 911 audio.
The caller added: ‘They’re in our paint garage. It’s a male.’
‘I mean, he’s deceased beyond any help?’ the 911 operator asked.
The caller responded: ‘Um, I believe so.’
According to the incident report, Caballero was discovered by other maintenance workers – the paint crew – on Monday around noon.
The garage was usually left locked but not this time, according to Law & Crime.
In the incident report, a deputy wrote that he saw Caballero ‘partially suspended’ from the garage railings from a red band. He allegedly broke into Miya’s room a half hour before she was last seen and police were set to arrest him on suspected burglary charges when a woman found his body and called the local police department

Miya was scheduled to catch a flight to Fort Lauderdale that night but she never made it to the airport, her family said. She has been missing for five days now
Miya was last seen on September 24 at Arden Villas Condominiums in Orlando, Florida, where she lived and worked
According to Law & Crime, court documents stated that his body could have been in the garage since the day Miya vanished, based on its state of decomposition.
‘Mr Caballero entered the garage at some point after the evening of September 24th, 2021 but prior to the morning of today, September 27, 2021,’ the court documents detailed.
A day after Caballero’s body was found, Miya’s family held an emotional vigil Tuesday night outside of the apartment building she was last seen at.
Her grandmother was inconsolable as she cried and prayed. ‘Protect her lord from the hands of the devil, protect her from the hands of evil,’ she said through tears.
Dozens showed up and lit candles around pictures of Miya on the fifth day of disappearance and shined the flashlight on their cellphones – symbolic of showing Miya the way home – as reported by CBS Miami.
And relatives were devastated that prime suspect Caballero had been found dead, while Miya remained missing.
‘He killed himself. So he was our lead to Miya and he killed himself. Miya’s still missing,’ Semone Westmaas, Miya’s aunt, told reporters near Cabellero’s Camden Club Apartments complex during the search effort.
He was also reportedly ‘infatuated’ with Miya but she had let him know she wasn’t interested in him, family members said.
Miya’s cousin Caili Sue confirmed that he had an intense obsession with the missing woman and told Fox 32 Orlando: ‘He was infatuated with her, he was in love with her. I don’t know the very specifics of it, but he was constantly texting her and then had left her alone and then went back to texting her again.’

Marc Marcano, her uncle, prepared a group to go door-to-door around Miya’s apartment complex searching for his niece in the case that she was being held hostage.
Caballero’s car, a silver Ford Fusion, was found outside his apartment in Seminole County and has been taken by police as part of their investigation.
Orange County Sheriff John Mina said at a press conference Monday: ‘Her disappearance is suspicious and our detectives and the family members suspect foul play.’
Miya, who attended Valencia College, was scheduled to catch a flight to Fort Lauderdale that night but she never made it to the airport, her family said.
Detectives first interviewed Cabellero for tips as he worked in the same apartment complex as Miya. He told police that he last saw her at 3pm on Friday. However, Mina said that he had a ‘maintenance-issued master key fob,’ which was used to enter Miya’s apartment at 4.30pm – a half hour before her shift ended and she disappeared.
On making that discovery, police issued a warrant for Caballero’s arrest on suspected burglary as he was believed to have gone into her apartment without permission or reason. Mina added that police found a ‘few items’ that were ‘considered to be suspicious’ but would not elaborate on what they were or if they included the blood-stained pillow.
