EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt looked worlds apart from his Ian Beale character on Monday when he took to Instagram to update his followers on how much he’s enjoying his holiday.
The actor, 52, is currently on a 10-month sabbatical from playing Ian Beale in the BBC One soap after being a core member of the cast for 36 years.
Adam posed cheerfully in a cycling T-shirt alongside a rubber duck that was perched on the steering wheel of his motorhome in the countryside.

Adam told his fans: ‘Had a great time cycling and walking in Dorset. Now off on my travels again, I’ll let the Duck decide where.
‘Some funny name suggestions from previous post but I still haven’t named the Duck,’ he said of his chick companion.
Keeping things casual, the soap star looked laidback in a maroon T-shirt with a cycling graphic and his signature rimless glasses.
The selfie comes as Adam revealed that he’s been staying in a motorhome of late after purchasing it to use as a base ahead of starting a touring play.

And although the play has been pushed back several times, Adam has ensured to make the most of the situation and been enjoying trips in the vehicle.
He told The Sun: ‘I’ve got a motorhome ready for the tour so I won’t have to worry about staying in hotels or anything like that.
‘But I’ve taken advantage of it and I’m currently in a field in Devon.’

Adam is currently in the midst of his soap break, eight months after he announced in August that he had split from Beverley Sharp, his wife of 22 years.
The couple reportedly separated in August of 2019, but it is thought that they have only started telling friends about their decision last summer.
A friend told The Sun that Beverley was ‘very upset’ at the split but added that it’s a ‘straightforward separation’.

They said: ‘Nobody plans for these things and divorce is a difficult thing to get your head around
‘They have dealt with it quietly for several months and are now telling friends so it’s less of a secret.
‘They still get on well, and are keen to make sure they stay that way for the sake of their children – even though they are now grown up.
Adam and Beverley have been married since 1998 and have two children – Jessica, 27, and Samuel, 23.
A spokesperson for the actor said at the time: ‘Beverley and Adam separated in August last year and we ask that the family’s privacy is respected.’
MailOnline contacted Adam’s representative for a comment at the time.

Adam shocked fans last summer, when he showed he’d lost a considerable amount of weight in an EastEnders spoiler clip.
ITV’s This Morning aired a sneak preview of an upcoming episode of EastEnders: Secrets From The Square where the actor looked almost unrecognisable.
Host Stacey Dooley was seen interviewing Adam and his co-star Gillian Taylforth, who has played his mother Kathy Beale over the years.
Yet soap watchers were more distracted by Adam’s staggering weight loss with This Morning’s soap queen Sharon Marshall also impressed.
She quipped: ‘Gillian Taylforth hasn’t aged in a million years but Adam Woodyatt, I think, is looking very svelte, post-lockdown.’
It is not known how much weight Adam has lost but he is an avid cook and even appeared on the 2019 series of Celebrity MasterChef.
