Dead body is found outside pharmacy near Times Square: Police believe 62-year-old man was homeless

A dead body was found just feet away from New York’s Times Square on Saturday morning.
The 62-year-old man’s corpse was discovered outside a Duane Reade pharmacy at 1430 Broadway just after 9:30am.
Police immediately launched an investigation into what might have caused the man’s death and cordoned off the area until the body could be recovered.

EMT were on scene following a 911 call but there was nothing that could be done
Sources told the New York Post there were no signs of trauma to the body with authorities believing the man to be homeless.
The man is said to have ‘had a cough’ shortly before his death. The NYPD also say they found drug paraphernalia close to his body.
A sheet could be seen draped over the man’s body in an area in front of the pharmacy.
A baseball cap and bag could also be seen close by as police stood guard.
The identity of the man has not been released until his family is notified.
