A couple broke into a New Jersey house before having sex, showering, wearing the homeowners’ robes and feasting on food and drink – all while a babysitter and young child were on the property, police say.

Alex Ray Yeakley and Amanda Lentz, from Pennsylvania, allegedly broke into the home in Cedar St, Englewood, on Friday.

The pair allegedly helped themselves to food and drinks from the owner’s kitchen, had sex and then showered in the bathroom – even dressing themselves in the owners’ bathrobes.

Police said the pair had ‘taken liberties’ in the home, all while the unsuspecting babysitter and child were still in the house.

Some of the couple’s activities were caught on security video, the Daily Voice reported.

Amanda Lentz, from Lebanon, Pennsylvania, is facing criminal charges for her alleged part in the audacious heist.

Alex Ray Yeakley and Amanda Lentz, from Pennsylvania, broke into a New Jersey home where they plundered food, had sex and showered, before leading police on a dramatic pursuit.

The babysitter eventually heard Lentz on a baby monitor in the child’s bedroom at around 10:30pm and thought that the homeowners had returned, officials told News12.

But the sitter then discovered the intruders.

Englewood Police Chief Lawrence Suffern said: ‘It is believed that the pair had been inside the home for a period of time before they were discovered.’

The couple fled the house, taking with them jewelry, a wallet, a backpack and an iPhone.

Cops say the couple ditched the 2003 Toyota Corolla they arrived at the house in, and fled in the house owner’s Lincoln Navigator SUV.

Officers used the stolen iPhone to track the alleged burglars to Blooming Grove in Orange County, NY, 50 miles away.

State and local law enforcement officers were alerted to the fleeing pair.

A chase ensued, and the couple’s car careened off the road into a field when cops deployed spike strips in Chester, the Daily Voice reported.

They were arrested after bailing out and trying to flee on foot.

Yeakley, of Myerstown, PA, and Lentz, of Lebanon, PA, are being held in New York, pending extradition back to New Jersey.
