Two award-winning children’s authors are selling their gorgeous Redfern terrace that appears to have been borne from fantasy.

Beck and Robin Feiner have put their Baptist Street home on the market and it is already attracting huge interest from buyers, reports realestate.com.au.

The interest has driven the price guide from $2.6million to $2.8million ahead of the August 7 auction.

A huge drawcard for the cosy 1990s terrace, which the couple bought in 2010 for $1.18million, is its designer transformation and trendy appeal.

The property has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, soaring 3.3m ceilings, Kauri pine floorboards, a chef’s induction kitchen and outdoor street parking.

Major renovations were made six years ago and the kitchen was upgraded more recently.

Another drawcard is the author’s attic, where Beck and Robin spent countless hours writing and illustrating their books over the years.

The attic is attracting interest from artists and professionals alike, who picture the room as an ideal working space.

‘It’s one of the best attic conversions I’ve seen across the inner city,’ said Ray White Touma Group principal Charles Touma.

He added: ‘It’s got a smart design for an ensuite in the master bedroom. And there are beautiful high ceilings, a great chef’s kitchen and it backs onto Kepos Lane.’

The property is mainly garnering interest from families, eastern suburbs and north shore residents, and professionals.
