Catherine was a vision in the dress which featured a sweetheart neckline, peplum sleeves and was cinched in at the waist to show off her figure.

She went barefoot in the snaps and kept her accessories minimal by opting for a single silver pendant necklace.

The TV star wore her hair perfectly styled into a chic low bun and had on neutral makeup to show off her pretty features.

It comes after Catherine revealed she spent two weeks living on lettuce to prepare for steamy sex scenes in her new drama, Viewpoint.

The star, who plays Kate Tuckman in the new ITV drama series, said she prepared for her nude scenes with a strict diet – only to find all but one of the steamy segments were axed from the final cut.

Appearing on Tuesday’s episode of This Morning, she said: ‘I spent two weeks living on lettuce.

‘And then I watched it back and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s it’. That was unusual because we wouldn’t take our masks off until a take so kissing with a mask on is all kinds of weird.’

Catherine shaved her legs in preparation for the scenes, which she admitted she hadn’t done since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic last year.

She quipped: ‘I went to shave my legs that morning and my husband went, “I’ve not seen shaved legs since week one [of lockdown], this is wonderful!”‘

Catherine said she felt thankful to resume work on Viewpoint during the pandemic, as she was beginning to struggle emotionally after losing her grandfather to the virus and seeing her mum hospitalised with it.

She said: ‘At one point my mum was in intensive care and my grandad unfortunately was in the ward below dying.

‘I think the cruellest thing has been people not being able to say goodbye and not being able to be with their loved ones when they’re struggling. That’s just been very hard for so many people.

‘I’ve been so open about it because I thought it’s all well and good me posting pictures of me making sourdough and banana bread and going on lovely walks, but actually we were all struggling. We all have our own stories from the past year and I thought it was really important to be open about that.

‘There were a couple of very dark weeks for me when my grandad was passing and my mum was poorly and we couldn’t get to her, it was beyond stressful.’

Viewpoint, one of the ITV’s first post-lockdown series, saw production suspended after a positive coronavirus test on set.

But things were swiftly back to normal thanks to the safety protocols in place with the stars back on set shortly afterwards.

The programme, which is headed up by Fleabag director Harry Bradbeer, follows a tense police surveillance investigation into a close Manchester community.

Noel Clarke takes on the role of surveillance detective DC Martin King as he looks into Gemma’s disappearance on the series, which debuted Monday.

This is just one of the new TV projects Catherine has been involved with since quitting her role of Eva Price on Coronation Street in 2018.

Exciting times ahead: She played Eva Price on Corrie from June 2011 until August 2018 and recently confirmed she would 'absolutely' return to the ITV soap if the opportunity arose in the future
