Caprice thinks Prince Harry won’t be able to handle LA’s ‘superficial’ lifestyle for longer

‘It’s a fake world’: Caprice thinks Prince Harry won’t be able to handle LA’s ‘superficial’ lifestyle for much longer after he returns home to Meghan

Caprice Bourret has said she doesn’t think Prince Harry will be able to handle the ‘superficial’ lifestyle of Los Angeles for much longer.

In an interview with Closer, the model, 49, reflected on how she lived in California for more than 20 years and found it to be a ‘fake, concentrated world’.

Prince Harry, 36, and his wife Meghan Markle, 39, and their son Archie, 23 months, moved to Los Angeles in March last year, following a stay in Canada after walking away from their royal duties in the UK.

Talking about the Los Angeles scene, Caprice said: ‘I grew up in LA and spent most of my twenties there, before moving to London, where I’ve now lived for more than 20 years. And the two places are so culturally different, it’s crazy.

‘On the surface, LA seems amazing, with the gorgeous weather and incredible amenities, but it’s a fake, concentrated world. The best example to use is friendships – every friendship is surface value in LA.

‘You meet someone, and you’re “best friends” but it’s all for show and it’s social climbing, Harry won’t be used to that, because in the UK, I’ve made real friendships. From my experience, people here are more real and loyal.’

Caprice went on to say while Harry and Meghan ‘may be loving it now’, the Prince will soon ‘learn what it’s really about’.

The model added she doesn’t think Harry will be able to handle the ‘fake world’ for long and that she thinks the trip back to the UK recently for Prince Philip’s funeral will make him miss home.

Caprice has had links with the royals in the past and was a poster pin-up on Harry’s dorm room wall as a teenager.

Last year it was reported Prince Andrew dated Caprice and let her sit on the Queen’s throne at Buckingham Palace during one of their dates.

The Duke of York, 61, met the American lingerie designer at a dinner party and the pair dated for two months in 2000, reports The Sun.

On one of the dates he took her to Buckingham Palace and let her take a decorative bowl without staff knowing, according to the paper.

A source close to Caprice told the publication: ‘As an American, she was thoroughly entertained at the notion he was a part of the Royal Family.

‘He took her to Buckingham Palace twice, and on one occasion she sat on the Queen’s throne.

‘She spotted a bowl she liked and asked Andrew if she could steal it and post it to her mum. She claims that he let her, and her mum loved it!’

The publication also claimed that Prince Andrew is believed to have told Caprice that his then 16-year-old nephew Prince Harry was jealous of their friendship.
